Your Canary's fleet

See who your Canary hears.

Every Canary quietly notices the others around it — a low-power radio hello, no Wi-Fi, no broker, no cloud. Plug one in and read that list straight off the device: which Canaries it's heard, how recently, and how they say they're doing. Nothing leaves your machine.

The fleet it hears

Connect over USB and this Canary tells you the roster it has picked up over the air. This is presence, not proof: it means "I heard this device recently," self-reported and unsigned — never a verified trust claim. (To check a specific device is really yours, compare its randomart shape.)

Plug in over USB, then connect. We'll ask it who it hears.

Also on the device: press n over USB serial and the Canary prints this same "nearby" roster on its own screen — the exact list, from the exact source. This page just draws it in your browser.

What "unsigned" means here

Anyone can broadcast a presence hello, so a name here means “heard nearby,” not authenticated. The signed, tamper-evident record is the witness log.

Public-only. Each peer shows a short public-key fingerprint (the same few characters printed on its trust card), how long ago it was heard, and the health/battery it self-reported — nothing private, no MAC address, no location.
